I am so lucky to be given the opportunity to follow my passion and teach in Takiwātanga. I am committed to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all our students, ensuring that each child reaches their own full potential.
Poipoia te kākano kia puawai
Nurture the seed and it will grow
After a period of reflection and resetting, I’ve returned to my passion for teaching. Excited to collaborate with amazing kaiako and awesome kaiawhina teaching meaningful life skills in our takiwātanga space. I look forward to the year ahead, building new relationships, embracing new learning opportunities, overcoming challenges, and experiencing the growth that this new journey is set to offer.
As a Kaiako in our Takiwātanga Unit, my focus is on supporting our team to enable our tamariki to blossom to their full potential.
I love the philosophy behind Takiwātanga - that our tamariki learn in their own time and space.
I am blessed and have a real passion for teaching and helping to support the individual development of each tamaiti in our Takiwātanga space. I aim to nurture our tamariki for their talents, believing that ‘one size does not fit all’, and all learners are unique.
